In general we don't put binaries in the source tree.
I think that a better choice is to dynamically generate the binary from the source code. So if the example needs to be modified, source code is updated and then the binary is generated again
With a binary, it's quite impossible to change the code.

Modify the test cases:)
The ejb3.jar is a ejb3 example
and jaxws-ejb-2.1.1.jar has a webservice that use the ejb resource injection of ejb3's resource.
