what do you mean with "complex node" term?
 
JCR can export any node.
And can import any one back with respecting specification rules (related to a mix:referenceable, /jcr:system nodes etc).
There are difficulties with mix:versionable nodes, the success will depend on a usecase you will implement.
If you will import mix:versionable node which already exists in workspace and REPLACE_EXISTED is ON then you will have success. Otherwise an exception will be thrown.

We are currently improving the mix:versionable import which will give us more capabilities according the specification.

Can I trust  the last version on OW2 page or need to take it on the public-svn of eXoPlatform?

Yes, you can use one from OW2 (v.1.8 recommend).

The mix:versionable import improvements will be released in next version (coming soon).
