Looks like a browser compatibility issue. We are definitely interested in making eXo fully compatible with IE6, as this one is still largely deployed. Some UI bugs there and there may subsist. I suggest you open a JIRA issue, in the portal component, and attach the description you are making below.

In portal mode with IE6, the iframe of the Web Explorer portlet does not use all the portlet frame. In other word, your web page is displayed with a scrollbar within a small part of the Web Explorer portlet (at the top) and you get a huge blank side. That's weird layout make inconvenient the use of the Web Explorer portlet.
In WebOS mode with IE6, I am facing the same trouble, but as minimizing and then maximizing the Web Explorer portlet fix this bug in most of the time.
Any idea about this issue?
