[exoplatform] Re: [explatform] Memory requirements

I am also running Ubtuntu 7.10 on a 2GB RAM computer.
My JVM settings are -Xms256m -Xmx1536m -XX:MaxPermSize=256M
When I run ultimate locally I usually use MySQL as I found hsql too slow on some operations.

Should 1G of RAM be sufficient to run the eXoUltimateProduct?  I'm getting painfully
slow response when I take these steps:

- bring up Application Registry
- click on Import Portlets button
- click on the tab for my application

It takes minutes for the list of apps to appear after clicking on Import Portlets.  Then
when I click on the tab for my app, the system delays even longer, and fails to completely
refresh.  I notice that between Firefox and eXo, almost all free RAM is used, although
hardly any swap.

I am using the local hsql database.  I'm running build 23239 on Ubuntu 7.10.
