Re: [exoplatform] FileExplorer: adding a category to a directory

Hi brice,

To my mind there are 2 real cases I have already met:
1) Mass categorization: the content admin wants to add all documents of a directory in a category.
2) Automatized categorization: the content admin wants add category to the new document in the directory.

I will open a JIRA issue ;)

Thanks,

Hi Rodrigue,
If I remember well, the display of folders in the BC has been disabled. So it is perhaps not appropriate to allow the user adding categories to a folder in JCR File Explorer. Please open a JIRA issue :-).
BTW I'm interested in understanding the use case that directs you to add all documents of a folder to the same category. Perhaps there is something to do in this area.
Thanks,
-Brice.

    Hi community,

I want to add all the content a directory in a content category.
    So I go
in the FileExplorer, I switch in admini view, I select my
    directory and
I add a category to it. It's work fine, the category is attached
    to the
    node of the directory.
But (because there is a but ;) ):
    - if I look the properties of files in the directory, the categrory
doesn't appear. Why not, it's not really a strange behavior.
    - when i go in the content browser, no content is visible in the
    wanted
category. For me it is a strange behavior: we can add category in
directory but we can't browse the content...

Do I need to open a bug in JIRA?

    Regards,
