Re: [exoplatform] JDK or JRE?

Hi ,

We test v2.x with tomcat 5.0.28 only , in order to use tomcat
5.5.x , you will need to modify the security service configuration.
Also I think you need jdk 1.5 and JAVA_HOME parameter in the shell
configiration

Hello community

I am trying to install exoplatform v2.x on a test server ,
this server has already a tomcat (version 5.5.23) , so I am trying to
adapt the exo-tomcat to this specified tomcat.

I think I did all the required modifications(in
security-configuration.xml and configuration.xml),etc...
but for the moment I just cant run the exo-run.sh,
I have the following error:

Using CATALINA_BASE: /usr/share/tomcat5
Using CATALINA_HOME: /usr/share/tomcat5
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /usr/share/tomcat5/temp
Using JAVA_HOME: /usr/lib/jvm/java
JVMJ9VM007E Command-line option unrecognised: -Xshare:auto
Impossible de crÃer la machine virtuelle Java.

and if I remove this flag, their are others errors with others flags,

maybe it comes from the fact that /usr/lib/jvm/java is a JRE and not a JDK
can anyone confirm this?

for information , the server is a linux architecture,
the default shell seems to be bash , so I did the required export (in
exo-run.sh)

thanks for your help
