Hello Benjamin, Hello List, The custom architecture I proposed below seems to have some problems (struts portlet not available in WSRP mode). I don’t know where it come from, since the portlet does not throw any exception. Anyway, I coming back to your proposition to take the code from the incubator (“in the incubator in the svn we have the generic bridge and the one for struts”). But, as I browsed the svn (and especially the v2.x/exo-incubator directory) I did not find any of that code. Would you indicate me what code it is for struts and how is working the bridge for struts? Btw, it seems that those projects are to be build with maven 1, is that right?
Thanks,
Regards
Alexandre

Hello Benjamin, Hello list, I did not manage to get the code from the incubator working for the struts portlet. But I found a way to make it work and I would like to have your opinion about that: · I simply copied the jar files o commons-digester-1.5.jar o commons-validator-1.1.1.jar o exoplatform.portlet-framework.struts-1.0.jar o exo-struts-1.1.jar from an exo portal distribution to my exo portlet container (in fact to the common/lib directory of tomcat) · With that architecture (exo-portlet container 1.5) and my custom jars, I was able to make the exo struts sample working (supplied in exo V1)
Now, what I need to know is: · Is that architecture ok (I know copying jars from one lib to another is not recommended) ? · Will this work properly or do I have to expect some side effects? · Does the exo team plan to migrate the code from the incubator (for struts) to the portlet container 1.5 and if yes, when is that planned? · Btw, I noticed that some jsf jars are already embedded in the PC 1.5; does that mean that the currently available PC supports jsf portlet development?
Thanks a lot,
Regards,

There was a blog about it:
http://exo-struts.blogspot.com/ you can try that code, probably some stuffs to upgrade but should be ok; if you can make it we will upgrade that bridge and move it to exo-portlet-container Does that mean that they are currently not available on portlet-container 1.5 ?
It is in the incubator in v2.x so not in PC 1.5, you have to build and test by yourself for that one :)

Hello list, I want to develop a simple portlet based on struts in exo. Does exo has a StrutsPortlet superclass (like for example Websphere Portal)? If not, I saw that an alternative is to develop portlets based on apache myfaces implementation of jsf; I saw that this is supported in exo, but I did not find any tutorial or minimal example of this. Can anybody tell me where to fin this stuff; that is: · If not, where to find documentation (tutorial) and a simple example of myfaces portlet for exo (like provided smyfacesportlet.war in portlet-container.ear)
Notice that I want to use portlet container 1.5 to deploy it and that it is currecntly depoyed as a bundle with tomcat.
Thanks in advance
