Re: [exoplatform] Accessing portlet API from JSF-portlet?

When writing a "normal" portlet it is easy to access the methods provided by the portlet API because one will implement a portlet class (extending GenericPortlet etc.) anyways.

But how do I call those methods when I have a JSF-based portlet?

You have to get the request and response object and cast them to Portlet object and not servlet one. JSF return context agnostic objects.

Since eXo provides the portlet implementation, such portlet won't contain any portlet class.
But what if I want to do API calls (e.g. to find out the user name of the user who is currently using the portlet)?

Thanks
