[[exo-portal]] Re: [[exo-portal]] [NEWBIE] How to Import Portlets?

Hello Tugdua,

Thank you for your reply.  I am trying to import an existing portlet - just to try it out as a test/example.  Below is the console output; however, there is no output to the console when I click the "Import Portlet" icon.  The display simply appears to refresh.

Hello Sam,

When you click on the "Import Portlets" icon do you see anything in the console/terminal?

Are you talking about an out of the box portlet, or a portlet that you have developed?
If your are trying to import an portlet that you have developed, you can follow these steps:
http://wiki.exoplatform.org/xwiki/bin/view/Portal/Use+an+Existing+Portlet+Application

Also take a look at the end to the step #3 where it describes how to import portlets.

I am brand new to the eXo platform and I am trying to learn my way around it. I installed the "All-in-One" distribution and later the just the portal distribution; however, I just can't figure out how to import portlets.

When I click the "Import Portlets" icon, it does nothing.

I tried to read the documentation, but I could not find a solution.

Can someone help?

Thank you!
Sam
