[[exo-portal]] Re: [[exo-portal]] Predefined configurations files for Exo Portal

Hello Eric,

It looks like you answered your own question. I confirm that the files you mentioned are for defining the portal pages and navigations. At startup eXo portal will read the files and create the corresponding objects (pages, navigations) inside eXo portal own storage.
Did you manage to do what you wanted? Do you need some more explanations ?
Can you tell us about your project ? Is is about generating eXo artifacts from an IDE ?

regards,

Hello everybody.

I'm working on a generator for portlet container like Exo Portal.
I'm aiming at defining a portal preconfigured with pages and portlets... generated from a model. I'm currently listing the main portals focusing on their easy configurability.
I looked at Exo Platform and saw that there are XML files to predefine a lot of things (users, groups, portlets conforming to the JSR-168 standard). But I didn't find any file to predefine pages (mainly, which portlets or widgets to display). Is it possible with Exo Portal or do I have to do it in Java?

I wonder if there is a possibility to do that with portal.xml / navigation.xml / pages.xml and portlet-preferences.xml as explained here.

Thanks for your help.
