[[bi-initiative]] BI Initiative - Feedback from OW2 GA at Grenoble

Hi all,
  just a feedback about my presentation during last OW2 General 
Assembly at Grenoble.
You can find here attached both the presentation and the Manifesto after 
your remarks. Tey will we published this week on BI Initiative Page 
(http://www.ow2.org/view/BusinessIntelligence/). As soon as possible, 
the Manifesto will have also a specific page.

At Grenoble I pointed out on the ability of BIi to deliver: we have 
released the Manifesto quite in time, according initial road map.
Now we must focus on working on next deliverables

Next steps:
- I'll resume all your answer about commitment on deliverables to refine 
the road map and to find out the first deliverable that will be crucial 
to confirm our ability to deliver (it will be the first we'll 
communicate at a larger audience - Paris Capital du Libre in 
Paris-France? OSS2008 in Milan-Italy?)
- I'll resume all new participation requests and, according your 
agreement, I'll invite new participants to join
- I'll re-open the contact with Talend to start working also at 
technological level.

At the end, a good news from Grenoble. OW2 launched the European Local 
Chapter, leaded by INRIA, with a special focus to enlarge OW2 
participation in Europe, to support initiatives, to find out funding 
opportunities for research and more.
I introduce you Luc, Michel and Stephane, in charge of it.
They asked me to find some joint opportunities and, as ELC, they offers 
to support the BI Initiative. It's a great opportunity and I confirm 
that after our first contacts we all have the right motivations and 
enthusiasm to have together some valuable results soon.
I'll send all of you some suggestions of collaboration with ELC and I'll 
open a thread about it soon.

Luc, could you please send last version of European Local Chapter 
Charter to the BI Initiative list to give all participants more 
information about ELC?
