Hi all, following previous Stefano Scamuzzo's mail I kindly as you to give your final feedback about BIi Manifesto that is our first deliverable, according BIi Charter. We are a bit late, according planned delivery date (April, 30). Consider that at next OW2 General Assembly, May 16, Grenoble, OW2 community expect a presentation of BIi state of the art (now, the BIi is the only one Initiative in the operative phase). Find here attached the final draft. I've simplified the layout and slightly modifies the topics. Consider that the Manifesto is a two pages document for a first overview of the Initiative. The full description, and list of participants members, will remain in the Charter. Point 1: I ask you a quick feedback; I'll prepare a presentation for the General Assembly, starting from BIi Manifesto, next Tuesday. Both feedback about contents and layout (to be more attractive) are welcome! Point 2: I ask any of you to commit to work to a specific deliverable (according first deliverable list in the manifesto). We promised to release the first non-technological deliverable July, 20, according Milestones paragraph in the Charter. Engineering commit to integrate SpagoBI platform with Talend as the first step of OW2 Himalaya Program. We can also work to give feedback on not-technologycal deliverables. Please, propose a deliverable and a release date you commit yourself. We need at least 1 for end of July Point 3: We have 3 pending request for new members to the Bi Initiative, I summarize in the following: INRIA - to insert a solution for parallel and distributed computing Societé Claravista - Marketing & CRM Consultants Micropole-Univers - BI Consultants. I had poor feedback from you about their request. If I will receive no opposition about these till the end of next week, I'll proceed as follows: - close the BIiManifesto this week - present it to General Assembly - approve new members request after General Assembly asking them to commit to a specific activity and deliverable. I'm considering to attract an OS DB provider in the BIi to enlarge the OS BI stack. Point 4: Finally, I ask people that have not till subscribed the bi-initiative mailing list to do it quickly, following instructions sent by Stefano time ago (I found just 3 subscribers in the mailing list log!!!). Sorry for this long mail. Looking forward to have your feedback; any sort of feedback is welcome. Gabriele Ruffatti Stefano Scamuzzo ha scritto: Dear all |
